Who would have guessed that the tweaking would be more troublesome than implementing the site design itself…
Most of my time was consumed by the home page. I wanted to have the combination of a dynamic and a static page. It took a few hours of trial-and-error in the code, when I finally gave up and searched for a plug-in. XD
The plug-in works good, so far. I just need to tweak the design a bit more.
The Gallery Plug-in is not working as I have hoped it would. I originally wanted a separate page for each image, and a comprehensive description of the image to be shown at the bottom. That way, people can leave comments on each image. I have read some stuff and apparently there is no built-in function for that, but there are suggestions on manually altering the code. Maybe I’ll work on it some other time. After all, the code should generate a page for the image, and the description at the bottom… Maybe it will be sort of like a post? I don’t know… So far, all that works is a general slide show.
I was not able to make the front page thumbnails link to the gallery page… Maybe I should state that there are more images in the gallery and wallpaper pages, eh?
Well, this is my site design and structure, so far… I have yet to add and edit a few pages, so for now, there you have it. It took me a couple of days to study the Hybrid Framework and modify the CSS to work the way that I want it. It’s not that hard… hahahaha… But it took me a lot of trial and error and a lot of googling for tutorials. Too bad the detailed tutorial for the Hybrid theme is locked in a paid page… Oh, well. But, hey, at least I managed, right?
I also took the time to update the wallpapers. Check them out.
See you around!
